A Generation in Peril: The Lives of Tibetan Children Under Chinese Rule RECOMMENDATIONS To the Nepalese Government: -Take steps to ensure that border police and other Nepalese officials are aware that it is the policy of the Nepalese government immediately to escort Tibetan refugee children to the Tibetan Refugee Reception Centre in Kathmandu, which cooperates with the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. -Take steps to ensure that Tibetan refugee children apprehended in Nepal are treated with care and receive adequate food, water and medical treatment until they can be brought safely to the Tibetan Refugee Reception Centre.
